En avril 2019, quelques chanceux membres de l'équipe de Labos Créatifs ont visité une école publique en plein air à Maple Ridge, en Colombie-Britannique.
Les écosystèmes fournissent des habitats pour les plantes et les animaux, et soutiennent différentes chaînes alimentaires et réseaux alimentaires. Ils peuvent être très petits et se loger dans des bocaux, ou ils peuvent être très grands comme une forêt. Notre planète a besoin d'écosystèmes sains pour survivre. Comment pouvons-nous faire en sorte que l'énergie du soleil, l'air pur et la nourriture soient suffisants pour que nos écosystèmes survivent? Que se passerait-il si l'un de ces éléments venait à manquer? Que pouvez-vous faire pour aider notre planète à rester en bonne santé?
Quelles sont les actions (ou les mesures d'entretien de la part des personnes) nécessaires pour maintenir un écosystème sain et prospère lorsqu'il est créé, par rapport à celui que l'on trouve dans nature? Comment les plantes peuvent-elles survivre dans un système fermé?
Ecosystems provide habitats for plants and animals, and support different food chains and food webs. They can be very small and fit in jars, or they can be very large like a forest. Our planet needs healthy ecosystems to survive. How can we ensure that there is enough energy from the sun, clean air and food for our ecosystems to survive? What would happen if one of those parts were missing? What can you do to help our planet stay healthy?
Join Sarah and Lennan as they build their own terrarium. In this video you will see the items they have gathered on their walk, and how to assemble all their findings to create an ecosystem in a jar!

All you need is a waterproof container (Glass jars don’t work well outside.If you’re hiding it in your home, any container will do!) things that you love and will remind you of these moments in time.
